Dr. Gary Fuller will be discussing “Writing With Emotion,” and will read examples of various techniques from his current novel, “Lethal Conspiracy”. Writing with emotion is not just writing about or describing emotion, but creating images and conveying feelings in the reader’s mind.
Dr. Fuller has a BA in Journalism, has been published in many newspapers and several magazines in the U.S. He completed an internship in both radio and TV broadcasting with ABC News.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years as a Special Intelligence Officer and Security Specialist. He helped write war game scenarios for several joint-service exercises, including simulations involving Iraq and Iran.
Completing his MBA and a Ph.D. in Business Administration, he worked as Director of Worldwide Distribution for two major medical companies.
Research for his current novel included an in-depth course by the American Psychotherapist Association, “The Psychology of Terrorism.” Other extensive research included multiple books, magazine articles, endless on-line references, and numerous Middle East newspapers as well as American and British newspapers. Several resources were first person interviews with government officials and individuals from the intelligence operations community, all of whom will remain anonymous.
